About me
Alecia Cole is an educator of eight years, poet, gifted adult, and mom of gifted children. She taught first, fourth, and fifth grades before transitioning to focus her career on gifted elementary learners. A lover of learning herself, Alecia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology. She felt called to serve gifted students when she realized how difficult it is for general education teachers to meet the many needs of gifted students when there is so much pressure to grow the students who are behind. She believes every student deserves to grow from their starting point, and she can be a teammate and resource to general education teachers to make sure that happens.
