Dr. Meredith Austin is the Associate Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching program and a faculty member at Rice University. She is an experienced educator and district administrator with a vibrant passion and deep commitment to developing educators. As a teacher and administrator in multiple Houston-area school districts, Dr. Austin has worked with students and mentored teachers from diverse backgrounds, including all income and ability levels. As a state leader, she chairs the TEA Commissioner's Advisory Council for Gifted/Talented Education. Dr. Austin is committed to building strong relationships and improving systems and processes.
