But what if we could work our way up the Bloom's Taxonomy pyramid while still providing a safe, supportive environment for all learners? With new Science and Engineering TEKS being implemented this year, participants dive deep into three historic and local engineering scenarios and engage in discussions about the ethics behind each scenario. Teachers walk away with ideas that incorporate ethical issues of science and engineering that increase rigor for their gifted students.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is impacting our education system. We must develop students’ scholar identities alongside their artificial intelligence literacy. This session will introduce the Artificial Intelligence Classroom Competencies in conjunction with the Scholar Identity Model™ as a means to prepare gifted and advanced learners in the age of machine learning.
