Each year, educators are asked to do more with less and schools across the state are making it work. In this panel, we discuss how educators in Northside ISD use the Total School Cluster Grouping Model to put research into practice for students with advanced learning needs.

Stories from LGBTQ gifted students will be shared. High school graduates were interviewed to understand what unique challenges are facing our LGBTQ gifted students in public schools. Participants will also hear about strategies and approaches to implement to help these students.

Oftentimes, the particular characteristics of students who are gifted and in the process of becoming bilingual present challenges to educators. We will explore the interrelationship between giftedness and bilingualism, G/T identification and instructional best practices. We will also analyze real-life cases and outline holistic plans to meet your students' needs.

Hear from a group of 2024 National Math Star students! These are 7-9 year old students who have demonstrated extraordinary mathematical talent, and now are part of National Math Stars’ 10-year support program designed to help them grow up to push the frontiers of math and science.
